What council collections cover
Northern-suburbs councils generally offer one or two bookable hard waste collections a year, with caps on volume and a list of excluded items. It's included in your rates, so it's the cheapest option if you can wait.
Where they fall short
Waiting lists, item restrictions, and the requirement to drag everything to the kerb yourself. If you're selling, moving or the pile is already a problem, that doesn't work.
Using both
Plenty of people put what's eligible out for council and have us take the rest. Send photos of what's left over and we'll price just that portion.
